Check out the launch of 'The Sit Down' - Making Moves for #COP26

We're delighted to announce the launch of a new Brass, Aye? original song, The Sit Down. The song was created as part of the band’s Making Moves Project, made possible by funding from Creative Scotland.

The piece includes:

◼️ original music written by band leader Richard Merchant, performed by Brass, Aye? band members

◼️ a video directed by Tam Dean Burn, and performed by Brass, Aye? band members

With Glasgow hosting a critical UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in November 2021, the piece was written and performed with commentary on what we can each do to raise awareness of the climate crisis, and where power lies moving awareness into action.

The video was made in collaboration with:

◼️ Tricky Hat an Artist in Residence for Ward 23 Partick East and Kelvindale, part of Glasgow’s Creative Communities Programme

◼️ A collective of local young filmmakers

Filming for this video took place at The Children's Wood and North Kelvin Meadow.
